The Seljuk Han of Anatolia
Architects
The name of the architect is given only in 2 cases, and in relatively insignificant monuments:
Dokuzun Derbent: Osman, father of Adb-er Rahman
Durak: Gavharba; ibn Abdullah
As concerns the Zazadin Han, it is possible that Sadeddin Köpek, known as an architect, may have directed the work at the han he ordered.
We can also infer the names of two other architects from inscription plaques:
Çay: Uğhulbek ibn Mohammat
Ilgin: Kuluyan al-Qunawi (whose name is also mentioned at the Gök Medrese in Sivas). This han has now disappeared.
