This type consists of a closed, covered section (the hall) with
no courtyard in front of it. This type of han was used primarily in winter.
The vaulting system is supported by piers. Many contained a lantern dome in
the center of the vaulting to admit light. They can have single or multiple
aisles, in one or two directions.
